Description:

The stellar competitive resume of this high performance airframe (XFC, Tucson Aerobatic Shootout and Clover Creek) made it a challenge to find areas of improvements, but we have made a few “tweaks” for 2018.

New in 2018:

• We have incorporated a carbon fiber / plywood fuel deck and pull-pull rudder servo mounting plate for added stiffness where needed.
• The control horns are now the more popular double horns with ball links.
• The ailerons are fully sheeted for added stiffness.
• The canopy is factory glued on the hatch

 

NEW for 2013, the Edge 540 has been re-designed and updated from the already very successful 36% PAU produced for several years.

• The fuselage is now wider and taller, which allows the all-in-cowl installation of the DA-120. This new fuse design is also as close to scale as possible.
• The wings have been reinforced yet again with a generous dose of carbon fiber in order to withstand the ever more demanding maneuvers of today’s aggressive freestyle flying.
• Slightly enlarged aileron size allows for faster roll rates in 3D flying, without acting as airbrakes when high rate ailerons are applied.
•  A new all carbon fiber tail wheel assembly is more reliable, and lighter than the previous versions.

PAU also has done much of the time-consuming work for you, such as pre-hinged (not glued) control surfaces, a pre-installed/pre-marked firewall for engine placement, pre-set cowl with internal cowl ring hiding cowl screws, pre-drilled surfaces so your hardware just drops in; and that is just the start!
