Age:                26

My name is Gabriel Altuz and I was born in 1990 in Puerto Rico where I have lived all my life. I am currently in graduate school, pursuing a master’s degree in aeronautical engineering.

I started on this awesome hobby when I was 4 years old. My inspiration to this hobby was my father and my uncle as they have been building they own designs and flying for around 35 years. I like to fly IMAC, freestyle, pylon racing and also helicopters.

I stated competing in Pattern when I was 7 years old, and got my first gasser when I was 16. At that time, I began competing in IMAC locally in Puerto Rico, moving up through the ranks of Basic, Sportsman, Intermediate and Freestyle.

In 2009, I received an invitation to the XFC (Futaba Extreme Flight Championship), which was my first competition in the USA.

Since then, I competed in the XFC every year, as well as Clover Creek Invitational 2010 and 2012, Tucson Aerobatic Shootout (TAS) 2011.

I had the pleasure of joining Team PAU in 2010, and want to thank the company and Herve for the support with great looking high performance aerobatic and 3D airplanes.

As the years go by, I have more school and work commitments, and my availability to compete is becoming more uncertain, but will definitely take part in these great events every time I can.

My other passion is cruising in my souped up Mustang, and working on high performance cars and engines.
